Louie A. Brown Jr.
Louie A. Brown Jr. is a partner in the firm of Kahn, Soares & Conway, LLP. He manages the firm’s Government Relations Group representing clients before the California State Legislature and various state administrative agencies. Louie specializes in providing clients with expert advice in maneuvering through California’s complex legislative and regulatory process. He has written numerous laws and played key roles in negotiating legislation on a variety of topics, including agricultural commission, public safety funding, water, recycling, natural resources, labor and horse racing. Louie earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California and his Juris Doctor from the McGeorge School of Law. In addition to his work with the firm, Louie is very involved in a number of different community and educational activities. He serves as Chair of the Cal Poly Agribusiness Department’s Advisory Council and immediate past chair of the California Future Farmers of America Foundation Board of Directors. Locally, he is President of the Elk Grove Youth Baseball Board, and serves on the Elk Grove FFA Advisory Committee. In his spare time, Louie can be found coaching youth soccer and baseball.
