Fred Gardner

Fred Gardner edits O’Shaughnessy’s, a journal in which cannabis clinicians share their findings with patients and keep up on relevant scientific and political developments. He has been an editor at Scientific American, started coffeehouses near army bases to provide relief from militarism for GIs, broke the Paraquat story (poisoned marijuana reaching US consumers thanks to DEA); exposed the cult leader Werner Erhard; wrote the Ballad of Dennis Peron, and was public information officer for the district attorney of San Francisco. In 2008 he and Martin Lee created Project CBD to expedite production and distribution of CBD-rich cannabis in the U.S.
